Iloilo is at number four on the busiest airport in the Philippines based on the Noble King website and at Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines data with 1,073,907 passengers in 2008. This second quarter 2009, Iloilo flights has reach 70 flights per week. Last year only 63 flights a week. This rapid flight schedule is due to increasing passengers demand on route to Iloilo from Manila and Cebu. And the new airline Zest Air accommodating flights from Manila and soon International and other destination is also planned. In Philippine Airlines and Air Philippines Iloilo ranks at number six with 56 flights per week. Iloilo International Airport has one of the longest runway of 2,500 meters and rank number 9 on the longest runway in the country. This is ideal for accommodating large aircraft. This year 2009, other tentative plans are opening for direct route from outside the Philippines like Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong and Singapore.

May 14, 2009, 92.3 WRock first heard in Iloilo City. The heart of lite rock initially started there formal broadcast from the re-brand 92.3 DYST-FM with lite rock, lite jazz, and easy listening music. Now there are two radio station in the city compete with lite music format. This two station making Iloilo music station pleasing to the ears of the Ilonggos. More power to 92.3 WRocK.

Now one of the busiest airport in the south is Iloilo. This year 2009, an expansion of flight in and out to Iloilo in various destination reach maximum flight schedule. the three flight carriers expand there flight from early morning to late evening for passengers flying in and out of Iloilo. Iloilo is the best place to be the hub for Luzon and Mindanao due to the geographic
location of the City from north to south it is located at the center of the Philippines.

standards of an airport. Last March 16, 2009, Iloilo International Airport opens to the
forth airlines to cater Iloilo passengers and vise versa to Manila everyday with three

Iloilo New Building Underway

The City of Love is now loaded with new constructed buildings for a new business. Even
out side the city new building are constructed. In Oton, a new Mall opened and more are
still to come. Now, Oton has three Malls to go to. The three Malls are Oton Arcade, Oton
Mall and CPT Mall. In Pavia, large construction site along Felix Gorriceta Ave. are
developing rapidly near the most subdivision are built. They are Pavia Sports Complex,
Ayala Mall Pavia Iloilo and Pavia Mall. In the City, more buildings, shopping areas,
night spots and subdivision are being constructed too. It is located at the swampy area
before located across Gen. Luna St. in Nabitasan, Lapaz. In 2006, the new bridge was
finish to connect Gen. Luna and Nabitasan to traffic and business. Now, this area is
heavily constructed for connect to Diversion in Mandurriao. With new constructed
subdivision near West Bridge School in Masaysay Village, Lapaz and a new under
constructed business area for bars, restaurants and night spots are all under way to
accomplish this 2010. Plus a new Flyover is now preparing for the construction along Gen.
Luna near University of San Austin and JD Roadhouse. In Sta. Barbara new building are
open for business and a new subdivision are constructed around the town too. From the
billboard of our Mayor Jerry Treñas aims this 2015 Iloilo will be the premier City of the
South after his term this 2010.

Tethany (the band from loilo)

Tethany a popular rock band based in Oton. Mostly their band members are from there. But
they have some members living in the Southern part of Iloilo. The band first recorded
there first single called Church Of Men (C.O.M.). It?s a heavy metal rock noise that
mostly men wants to listen to. The second was entitle Wurmed (acoustic version). Wurmed
was compose when one of the member Jeff was depress with a lot of things, in school, in
friends and in family. But in the mist of problems that he had. He wrote a song Wurmed.
This track is full of emotions about life struggle and at the end you still have the
power to overcome and change the path you have. Wurmed and Church Of Men is playing at
Killerbee 106.3 Bacolod, Radio X 102.3 Oton, 103.5 MiX FM Oton, Hot FM 98.7 Calinog,

Experience the latest club scene that Iloilo had never been before seened. I'm talking
about the super club here in the metro. On October 11, 2008 was a totally new and
exciting events to cover. The three top premier DJ's of Iloilo in one solid night with
Jason, Kreng and Leo and together with mc Dax on the mic. The party lasted till dawn
nearly 5am with hard pumping beats and bounce remixes to get you up for dancing on the
dance floor. The dance floor is jam packed with Iloilo's elite party people. It's was a
